Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Probate Proceedings

Texas law (Travis County) How long does a judge get to sign off on the purchase of a house that was apart of an estate sale? I was told 5 days (TX Law). I closed 6/7 and I am out of a place to stay, no key to my new house, out of a lot of money and I'm very upset. My realtor doesn't know a thing. Can this process go on forever? If so was is my recourse? Closing papers don't say anything about possession date. Is this legal? What happens if it goes on for weeks? Is this something that could have been purposely undisclosed? Is my realtor the only person that can talk to the listing agent of the home since he seems to be the one that knows what's going on? This is really starting to upset me. We have no place to live and I feel as though there should be some sort of action taken because we were lied to. We were told 2 days when it turns out that its 5 or more. Please help.

Re: Probate Proceedings

That, unfortunately, is up to the judge on an estate sale. You might move the court for an expedited hearing, considering your circumstances.
