Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Probate set last day of December 1:30

My sister is the ex of my mothers will. She has had no contact with me since my mothers death. I was asked to leave moms house after the funeral. I was accused of taking things from the house that my mother gave me before she passed on. I received a call from the attorney that wrote moms will 2 weeks ago. I went to the courthouse and paid for a copy of the will. My sister called me that evening and said that I do not need to go to the probate court date. She is going to take care of everything. she lives out of state, and works for the court system in her state. She also said we are to split everything 50/50 . She then went on to say that she hopes the judge will see all the work she has already done, I am assuming she is talking about a list of inventory debits. what ever else there is to do. and plans on showing this to the judge in hopes he will tell her to go on and distrub. the assets and close this out before she retuns home on the 3rd of Jan. Is this possible? with out being able to see or know anything how she divided it all up? What about moms jewlery, coins, bank accounts, house, cars, life insurance, pension, social security, Oh and by the way there is a contest clause, and it is a copy of the will not the original.

It doesn't sound like you want to contest the will. Maybe just be advised of the administration? Your sister has a fiduciary duty to carry out you mother's wishes. If you are concerned about your interests, you should hire an attorney to represent you in the administration of the estate.
