Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

probated wills

my father died 10 years ago this march. when he died my mother probated his will and then asked all of my brothers and sisters if they wanted the house and he ranch that they owned, but because the house needed a lot of fixing up and the ranch was run down and was behind in thousands of dollors in taxes no one wanted to take them over. my mother then signed over the house to me and the ranch to my oldest son. now 10 years later and the taxes are cought up, & the house is remodled. my siblings are wanting a share in all the property. can they take it away from us.

Re: probated wills

Depends on whether or not your mother obtained disclaimers from the other siblings. If she did not, depends on how she administered and closed the estate. Laches and Statutes of Limitations may apply. If I were you I'd see a lawyer. Good Luck.
