Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

How do you get your name put back on a mortage that was taken off for another loan to go through. The original mortgage had three co-owners on it. One co-owner has passed away (father) and he left it to us. We are related(family). I just need to know what to do

Are you sure you want your name on the mortgage. The mortgage is the debt instrument. The deed that is filed in the county records is what has the owner of the property's name on it.
