Re: Reading of Will

There usually isn't a reading of a will. Normally, when a will is given to my office, and I mail copies of it to the beneficiaries named in the will, along with the application for probate.

Re: Reading of Will

There is generally no "reading" of the will. When it comes time to probate those beneficiaries specifically named in the the will are made aware that he or she is a beneficiary and is given notice that an application for the probate of the will is being handled. And of course, when it comes time for distribution he or she will certainly be made aware

Also, once the will is filed for probate, it becomes a public document and a copy can be ordered from the court for a nominal fee. In the event that the will is not probated, and you desire a copy, I would advise contacting the attorney who drafted it to try and obtain a copy or the executor (if known) to determine whether you are named in the will.

Hope that helps, good luck.
