Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

removing my name from heirship

How do I go about removing my name from the estate left by my Mother, who died last September intestate. The rights of heir ship fell on my siblings and myself but there exists rivalry between some of the siblings and this is causing a huge delay in having the estate transfer into ownership of one of the siblings, which was the plan immediately after Mom passed. Now 4 months later there does not appear to be any hope of agreement as to what to do with Mom's house and the $40,000 outstanding mortgage. I want to just remove myself from the situation legally and physically. The appointed attorney for the estate has made clear he wants to only deal with one person, my youngest brother, to avoid being caught in the ugly dealings of the situation, asking that we call him when we agree on how we want to estate to rest. I don't want to wait it out, I want out of the mess and agree to leave behind any and all profits from the sale of the house if that is how it proceeds as well as being absolved of any liability of the house and it's problems. I am willing to secure an attorney, but what is the tool used for this process? Is this a simple process or complicated and lengthy? Thank you for your time.

You can "disclaim" your interest in the estate, but will probably need to retain an attorney to do so.
