Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

resigning executor/reasigning an executor

My mother past away a few months ago and by Uncle was named executor. He has been medically unable to execute her will. He wants to resign, because of his own dire medical conditions, that stop him from fulfiling his duties. What do we have to do to change the executiveship so that we can finalize her will? I Have done all I can without being named executor.
