Responsibility of incoming bills for deceased son

I want to try to find out what I am responsible for paying when it comes to my 20 year old son who was declared brain dead after a motorcycle accident 6-11-06. There was no insurance payments or anything made to us. Were getting bills from the hospital which are conflicting as well as from Sprint cell phone.

Did you sign something to accept responsibility for the bills? If not, the bills are the responsibility of the estate - not you.

Why don't you send a letter to the hospital and Sprint reminding them of this fact. If they pursue trying to collect a debt from you that you do not owe (according to your facts), they would be in violation of collection laws. I'm sure they will stop.
