Retirement question
Can I collect my biological fathers job retirement upon his death even though I was adopted and I'm not named as a beneficiary?

If your biological father named a beneficiary for his retirement who is not you, then the answer is no. You cannot override whatever beneficiary designation he may have made.
If he did not name any beneficiary, then the answer is maybe. It would depend upon his marital status and the terms of his retirement.
Under Texas law, an adopted child can inherit from the biological parent, and has the same rights as any other full natural sibling who is a natural child of that parent.
