Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My sister, who lived in Dallas, Tx, died 3 mo ago with no will, no spuse or heirs other than 5 sisters. She had 2 lots (no House), a car that doesn't run, a debt to one sister of $12,000. If dispostion of all assets is agreed to by all sisters does the estate have to go through probate?

I'm sorry to hear about your sister. To answer your question, I'm going to need to make the assumption that your deceased sister owed no other debts (such as a credit card), and had no other assets (such as a bank account). If all heirs agree, then it is possible to clear title to the car and the two parcels of land and the car without going to court. You would still need a probate lawyer to prepare the documents (likely a few affidavits and a family settlement agreement.)
