Can a Only son contest the will of his Father?The son has been taking care of his father only to find out he has left everything to friend,House and oil and gas residuals in 3 staes,I would I an entitled to at least 50%

Generally, a person can leave his or her assets to whomever he or she wants. Texas has no forced inheritance laws. The property in the other states might have a different rule because they might be controlled by the other state's laws.

There are other things that you can do to challenge a Will, but you need to talk to a good probate attorney.
