Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My son is 36 his grandmother died about 2 weeks ago and the day after she died my sons dad died on couch never woke up,he was 63. He was a alcoholic,my son was there for grandmas funeral,so he stayed in NY to help bury dad.Because of the Dad beng a alcoholic everything was left in a will by grandmother to her neice and uncle he died 2 years ago,his apartment is worth 330,000 hers is worth 800,000 is my son entitled to anything? also he has 2 other sons i heard.He never took care of any of his kids ,the neice is on insurance and the will,nothing for grandkids are they entitled someone saids yes her neighbor but i don't know.

I would have to review the wills of each deceased person. The wills may contain alternate provisions for deceased beneficiaries. The same would apply to the insurance policies for predeceased beneficiaries. The ones who died without wills would go under the laws of intestacy. I would have to map out the family tree and dates of death, and cross reference that with the wills.
