Ex spouse death

My ex spouse died and had left me as beneficiary on his death insurance. Am I intitled to it even though he had remarried?

You need to talk to an attorney. Generally, the answer depends on whether your ex designated you before of after the divorce was granted. Most of the time, a divorce invalidates the beneficiary designation, but there are three exception. It will take more information for your attorney to properly advise you.

Is there a divorce decree? Did the divorce decree mention you or your ex's insurance?
