Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

not sure what to ask so i'll state the situation as simply as i can ....i'm probating my fathers will... my half sister i never met and hasnt seen my father in 20 yrs till his funeral, is contesting the will... this is in a small town.... jasper tx... my half sisters mom who is very wealthy is from jasper and knows most of these attorneys.... i had problems finding an attorney that would do the probate due to my uncles and father sueing each other a few years back... 4 firm had conflicts of intrest... my half sister is using one of those firms... the lawyer im using has not accepted or returned my phone calls in three weeks .... i have only paid him 1500 and all that has happened is the will being filed and on the day to see the judge inthe county clerks office the contest papers my half sisters lawyer filed bumped the case to district court ... i spoke with my lawyer that day for 10 mins he said he would do more work and get back to me. that was three weeks ago ... i find it odd this attorny wont speak with me... i feel like i'm getting screwed.. any suggestions

Keep calling/get the attorney's email address/fax and push for answers. Also, call the Court to obtain copies of everything filed...and if there was a conflict of interest for one firm to represent you but then accepted your half sister..tell your attorney and call the State Bar to investigate..but have you actually visited the lawyer who filed??...if so, go to the office to revisit him/her...there probably exists valid reason for the debacle..
