In the state of Texas what is the amount that must be left to children you are disinheriting?

There is no set amount. If you want to disinherit a child, you can simply state such in your will.

You don't have to leave them anything. I commonly see Wills that leave $1 or some other nominal sum. Most often, this is the result of the estate planning attorney advising that the Will should indicate a clear intention to disinherit. The truth is that even this nominal amount is not required. The intention can be just as clearly communicated by plainly stating that you are not providing for them.
