I need more information.

From what I gathered, your husband received a share of the homestead property in a prior divorce, and now there is an issue as to who owns the house. Did your husband have a will? Who all are claiming rights to the house?

You probably have a life estate in the house since it is your homestead. They cannot oust you, but you will need to pay mortgage (if any), taxes, and upkeep if ex-wife's heirs are no longer living, then her half of the property goes to their heirs and if no heirs, then to the state. With that said, other facts could change the scenario. Did your husband have a will leaving you his half? If not, did he have children outside the marriage? You really need to contact a lawyer.
