Does texas state law set the amout of an executors compenstion

The Texas Probate Code can provide a default compensation when the decedent's Will is otherwise silent. Many Wills provide for no compensation while others include a provision for a fixed fee. In those cases when an Executor is compensated, the typical standard is 5% of sums actually received plus 5% of sums actually paid out.
