Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Time limit for dispursement after Probate?

Grandfather passed away and Will has been read and probated just prior to selling grandfather's house. Uncle (executor) said he would distribute all other monies at the end of the week when the house closed. We have received money from sell of house because Title Company had to do it that way, but Uncle has not given us the rest of the inheritance as of yet and house closed 2 months ago. Is there a time limit for the executor to distribute funds to heirs?

The executor has the responsibility to see that all bills and taxes are paid with respect to your grandfather's estate before distributing any funds. If you feel your uncle is not representing the estate properly, you should call an attorney. There is no set time limit since each estate has its own unique issues.
