Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Trust fund abuse

My nephew (12year) has a trust fund that was set up when his mother passed away when he was 5 y/o. His father (parents were divorced) received custody and is custodian of the account.

It recently came to light by accident, that there was a vehicle purchased in the name of the trust. (The father's ex-girlfriend also has said that he paid for her nurse-aide tuition with money from the trust, but that is just hearsay at this point)

The father has been very evasive about what is going on. Says he doesn't know how much is still in the account. Said he didn't know anything about the vehicle in the trusts name.

What do we need to do to find out what is going on with his trust fund?

Re: Trust fund abuse

You are going to have to bring suit for an accounting on behalf of your nephew. Your problem will be in your standing to bring such an action.
