Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Do we wait to speak with the D.A?
My question is this. We have a trial date regarding the civil part of the case regarding the estate. There's also a large amount of fraud involved with the opposing parties involved in this case. If criminal charges are brought forth against these parties could they delay the civil trial until the criminal aspect is over? Since they will have posted bail wouldn't the civil case go forward as scheduled.. Thank you!

This is a complex situation and you should have your own attorney, who is the one should be answering your questions. It is not unusual to do the criminal side of things before the civil.
