Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Waiting period for possession by remainderman?

My grandmother died in 1967. My grandfather remarried in 1982.

He died in 1983. His second wife refused to move into my

grandfather's house while he was alive because it wasn't good

enough, so during my grandfather's funeral her adult children from

her previous marriage moved into the house. The court awarded

the second wife a life estate in the house. The second wife finally

died 5 days ago. The county attorney says we must give the

second wife's adult children 30 days to vacate the premises. Is this

true?

Yes. Then if they still refuse to move, you will start with the eviction process.

Yes. If they've not vacated by then, you'll have to move to have them evicted as squatters.
