Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Not having a will

My father died Nov. 12th and my siblings and I had a distant relationship with him. We are all his next of kin, what do we do now? We do not know about his accts. Can you help me?

Someone needs to go through his "stuff", see what's there, and to ascertain if there is a necessity to probate. If you should probate, then contact an attorney to open up an heirship proceeding (if no will) and the legal fees may be reimbursed out of the state. My sympathy on the loss of your father.
