My father passed away 5 years ago and i was told there was a will , but i am unable to find any information. If you could tell me how to go about to find out if his will was read or how to find out who his attorney was.

You have 4 years from the date of death to probate a will. Since the time has passed, you can open up an heirship proceeding and probate his estate as though he died without a will. If he had no real estate it may not be necessary or practical to file an heirship proceeding.
