Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Last Will general question

My mother passed away recently and I know for a fact that she had a Will. Her husband has not yet notified us of when the Will will be read. I heard that there is a time limit on the reading-before there are fees involved. How long is that time frame, or is there even a time frame? And what are the consequences if it is not read in a timely manner? ALso, are there any steps that i can take as a child of the deceased to get the Will read?

Re: Last Will general question

You can file the estate for probate as an interested person. The estate will be probated with a will if one exists and can be produced or without a will if the will cannot be found. Gonna cost you some money, but maybe the estate is worth it to you. Good Luck.
