Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

last will

When my grandpa died he left a will with everything going to me but he left my dad as the one to carry out everything in the will, and me the second person to carry out everything. My dad is a cold hearted man I need the litte money my grandpa left me to pay bills and take care of my younger sister(my dad dosent have a job so I live in the same house to take care of my sister)but my dad is just letting it sit in the bank(my grandpas account). I went up to the bank manager to ask her what we had to do to get the money out and she said the person in charge of excuteing (sp)the will has to take it to the courthouse to get a letter of something then bring that to the bank. Well I have the will the death thingy so I was wonering since my dad isnt doing anything a sense he has been lying to me(he said grandpa wanted it spilt half and half with my sister read the will my self her name is no where in ther) can I go up to the courthouse myslef to get the letter myself? I dont want him to do it because I am scared he will steal it but if he does steal it I can't do anything to protest because I live inder ''his'' roof and I have no where else to go plus I don't want to leave my sister alone with that fool. Thank you for any help god bless.

Re: last will

I'm not sure where you are, but the court will not accept "the will the death thingy" in an application for proceeds. Check with the local county bar association to see if you can find an attorney to help you.
