He said there was a money issue regarding me, however he did not go into detail. What i want to know is will the executor be in touch formally with exactly what was in the will. I dont expect the money for ages but if I am in the will should i be informed if I am and What I have been left. What is the normal time scale for benefactors to be informed, in Texas. many thanks in advance

Re: When will I be informed about will
Chances are the will has only recently been entered into probate. You can get a copy from the probate clerk for a nominal fee ($1.00 per page) or you can go to the courthouse and read the will in the file.
Once the executor has letters of administration, they start taking inventory, and publish notice to the world at large that the estate is now in administration.
Distribution of the estate is not usually made until six months after publication of notice, since the executor would be personally liable if they depleted the assets of the estate by making distribution, when there were unpaid unsecured claims against the estate.
You should be told by the executor within a matter of weeks if there was a sum certain. It may be as long as 90 days if it's a percentage of the estate.
