No will left

Both my parents have passed away, and no will was left,,,

the bank is asking for an executor of the estate in order for us to obtain information concerning my parents bank accounts, since there was no will how do we determine an executor?

I take it there is more than one child of the deceased parents. All children need to get together and see a lawyer about taking out an administration. However, depending upon the amount of money and other property involved, an affidavit of heirship may suffice.

What you need to clear the bank accounts depends on the estates. If the estates owe no debts and they are small, then you may be able to clear the account. using affidavits. (IOW, no administrator is necessary.) If there are debts, or if the heirs are fighting, or if the estate is large, then you can have the court appoint an adminitrator of the estate.
