Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
No known will.
My Mother is about to pass away and there is no will. I have not heard from my brother in over 5years, unsure if he is still alive. Last heard from he was in jail in Mexico. What do I do about my Mothers estate?

When your mother passes away, you'll have to look at her estate to determine what steps you should take. Does it require administration to take care of outstanding debts? Is her estate only real estate with no debts? Those are the things you should discuss with a probate attorney to help you make the decision.
