Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

will probate

when calculating equity, can you get an independent appraisal of the home, and will it be allowed in court. Because the appraisal district is out of their minds with the current appraisal. Dad died and we need to split the equity three ways i'm gonna buy the other two peoples shares and I don't want to pay what the house isn't worth.
