Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
will question about 500k
In my deceased husband's will, he wants me or my estate to pay a 500k ''offset'' when our house is sold (and I will then receive 1/2 of the remainder) as he says that represents his contribution to the house of his own money (we were just married 6 years). The house was purchased while we were living together but not married, but he confirms in the will that the house is half mine, as we gutted it and added 600k to the house that was originally 260k (basically a lot and lake house). Hope I've given you the info you need!
