Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

will/trust

Is it mandatory to read a will when a Trust is in place. Do I have to give a copy of the will when asked by another sibling or is this a courtesy to them. I do not have anything to hide other than to follow the instructions in the trust. do I still have to probate a will.

thank you

Re: will/trust

If there are any assets which are not in the trust, the will (which I assume is a pour-over will placing the contents into the trust) will need to be probated.

1. Reading a Will isn't mandatory.

2. It's a courtesy.

3. See Traub's answer for a pour-over will.
