A woman from Arkansas married a man who came home on furlough to marry her. He sent her money to purchase farm land they agreed to buy. They later moved to Texas and wrote identical wills leaving everything .to the spouse first and to their children afterwards if the remaining spouse is deceased. Should this land legally go to her husband, or to her children under Arkansas. law?

If it is a valid Will and all property is accounted for in the Will, more-than-likely the Will will prevail and the property (estate) would go to the living spouse.

However, in order to respond to this question, I would need to spend time reviewing the Will and the legal evidence regarding the property in question.
