Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

finding job with criminal record

Four years ago, my wife and I had an altercation which resulting in me going to jail for domestic assault. I was given the option on taking anger management and probation with I completed and the charges were dismissed. The problem is I'm having a difficult time finding work because of the charge. Is there anything I can do since the charges were dropped?
