Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

Injury from 1998

I broke my ankle in several places and my leg while at work. I received a disability rating of 6%. Once released I have not been back to the doctor. At this time I am unable to walk correctly and without pain. I am currently in the process of going to my treating doctor. I returned to school and finished. During my time in school I discovered I will not be able to function in that position. I was not working while in school for 2 years. Will I be able to get any type of income compensation? What is going to happen? I can't get answers from the insurance carrier. I know I have lifetime medical benefits.

Re: Injury from 1998

If you received a 6% impairment rating, then there are no more monetary benefits to pursue, unfortunately. You may be entitled to receive social security disability benefits. If you have not applied, you should do so. You can review more information at www.dallasworkcomp.com or contact me personally.
