Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

Payment for lost work

I was injured at work and have been out for over 2 weeks. I have been getting paid by W.C. Insurance (ACE) 70% of my est. weekly pay. I am planning to go back to work on 5/11, but will have to miss some work due to Occupational Therapy ordered by my surgeon/treating doctor. Is ACE required to pay me for this lost time as well, seeing as it is a direct effect of my on-the-job injury? If yes, how do I go about claiming this lost time?

Re: Payment for lost work

ACE is required to pay you benefits if you lose any of your wages due to your injury. If your employer pays you for the time that you go to the doctor, they don't pay. If the employer does not pay for that time, then ACE must pay. See also www.dallasworkcomp.com
