Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

returning to work

I am about to return to work as a truck driver, i dont know if the company matters or not but it is similar to IPS Freight ,with only one letter difference. my concern is that i was told that when we rebid our scheduled runs, because i was not released i couldnt bid and there for lost my position. when i go back will they have to put me on my same run? my sup. said he thinks i will have to take a position as ''extra driver'', my concern with that is at present theres not a lot of extra freight.i`m afraid they will use this to starve me into quitting. we are paid by the mile.some one told me they will have to make sure my weekly average pay stays the same even if they have to create a position for me , is this true?i think i will be released for lite duty this week, the co. says we have no lite duty, can they leave me home with no pay because of this?or work me short hours to drop my pay to an extremely low level?
