Re: work related back injury
In Texas, an employee has 30 days to report a work-related injury to the employer, unless the employer already knows about the injury and that it is work-related. After that, the employee has one year to file a claim with the Division of Workers' Compensation. There are some exceptions to each rule, but these are the general requirements.
Even if you haven't complied with these rules, it is still worth discussing your case with an attorney. Oftentimes we can find ways around them. You can view additional information about work comp claims at www.dallasworkcomp.com
