Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas
Worker's Comp
while driving to work my son-in-law was involved in an auto accident. the police report is pending due to my son-in-law is still in a coma. Can he collect workers comp even though he was not at work but going to work as his normal shift was scheduled for him to be there?

I'm sorry to hear about your son-in-law's injury. There are some limited instances were you can be paid work comp benefits on your way to work, but normally no. Depending on the facts of the motor vehicle accident, there may be liability or some recover in that instance. I would need to know more facts. Please feel free to contact me.
Re: Worker's Comp
Our firm primarily handles work comp claims but Unfortunately work comp insurance does not pay for injuries on the way to work...and if your son in law was not at fault or even if at fault...go to a good lawyer now to have the accident investigated to determine if someone was at fault with ability to help him financially.
