Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas
Should workers comp. ins pay pib benefits for husbands injury?
On April 17, 2003 my husband was changing a blade on a table saw at work, his boss mistakenly turned the saw on and the blade torn through his hand and severed the nerve to the outside of his hand and last finger. The surgery was unsuccessful in restoring nerve, which left no feeling in the finger and that part of his hand. Shouldn't he receive impairment benefits from workers comp. for his injury? We have never heard from them.

If your husband has a TWCC workers' compensation claim then, yes, in all likelihood he should receive an impairment rating for his injury. If you're in the Houston area and would like to discuss this further, my phone number is 713/864-8181. Good luck!
