Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas
workers comp
I received a notice of dispute issues and refusal to pay benefits.
at this point i don't know what to do. The letter says: Compensability has been accepted for the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and right shoulder sprain/strain injury.
We dispute any and all unrelated medical conditions and complaints not related to the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and right shoulder sprain/strain. The Carrier disputes the claimants bilateral CTS,degenerative changes and spurring at C4-5 mild hypetrophic changes @ C6-7 mildhypertrophic changes @C6-7 mild diffuse disc bulging/disc protrusion spurring @C3-4.Anterior spurring mild disc bulging@C4-5 etc.....can you help me sort this all out? What do I do next? Do I need a lawyer?
I am in pain, lost and a nervous wreck. The treating doctor released me last week. But i still see a pain management doctor who prescribed meds. I received one but the others are pending. What does that all mean. Are they are are they not treating me? What do I do next?
Thanks for taking my question.

Re: workers comp
you need a competent work comp lawyer..our firm accepts most cases..but not if all your income is gone because you cannot pay a lawyer for help except from the benefits you receive. and of course what parts of your body were hurt is a medical question and it depends on how you were hurt, what you told your doctors, etc....but if your TD was a company doctor..sad but they do drop claimants...
Re: workers comp
You will need to appeal your denial through the Division of Workers' Compensation. I recommend that you speak with an attorney who represents WC clients to discuss your options. WC is not a worker friendly system.
