Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

Workers Compensation

I was injured at work six month ago, I did not report the injury to my employer, because it felt like was a minor sprain. But the pain never went away. And about two weeks ago I got sprained again in the same arm. This time was on the wrist. It also triggered the old elbow sprain. Am in excruciating pain and I did not report it also.Because at the time I thought it was minor. If I report it now can they treat me?. What if the MRI or Ex-ray shows that it was an old ailment, will they treat me?. What is it that I need to do here?. What does the law say?.

Re: Workers Compensation

You must report injuries promptly and if not reported within 30 days you lose all rights to medical care and weekly compensation..generally...but report the last injury and call a lawyer/or DWC and report the injury..
