Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas
Workmans comp claim denied
I am a processor for a mortgage company and have been there for over a year, I noticed pain in both of my wrist's and weakness, and numbness, I notified my employer they filed a claim and the insurance company turned it down after the doctor saw me and the insurance gave the verbal authorization to be seen. I am in a lot of pain and have to rely on my hands for my work. They told me since it wasn't an obvious injury that workman's comp doesn't not cover carpal tunnel.

We represent many work comp claimants and based on your story, you shoould be covered. Have you missed any work?did you tell your boss promptly after discovering your work caused your problem....it is hard to believe the insurance company would say you needed a particular act..as carpal tunnel is caused by repetitive actions in 90% of the cases
