workmans comp vs severants package
I am being fired in a few weeks. I have injured myself at work and need to see a doctor. I told my boss I would not file a workmans comp claim if he offerd me a 6 weeks severants with medical bennifits. Have I broken any laws with this threat?

Ignorance of the law is no excuse. You have lost the right to work comp benefits and probably your future opportunities...Who could trust you?
But you have not committed a "crimer"
just foolish to think a work comp claim hurts your employer..who has insurance
