Legal Question in Family Law in Trinidad and Tobago

Family Law - Divorce

I reside in the U.S (since 2002). My husband resides in Trinidad. Since I don't plan to return to Trinidad and he is not coming to the U.S., I want to file for divorce. He currently serves in the military over there in Trinidad. Does him being in the military have any bearing on me filing for divorce? Is the only thing that I need to be sure of is that he is properly served? We have not kids, property, etc. I am not seeking any equitable distribution of any kind. I just want to be divorced.

Re: Family Law - Divorce

Your husband's military status in Trinidad should not affect your divorce. However, he will need to be properly served, and that will cost extra. Assuming you meet both residency and legal grounds, we can help you with this process cheaply and quickly. Feel free to contact me.
