Legal Question in Family Law in Trinidad and Tobago

My husband has been giving me a hard time. He has already inform me that he do not care to be married anymore even though I told him I have tried to make things work, however he informs me that I am wasting my time. I need to know if he fills for a Divorce will I be able to get full Custody of the child we both have together and financially I can not support a child and pay a rent by myself, is there a way that I can get legal financial help from my husband if we was to get a divorce?

Yes. you can apply for maintenance for your child and yourself. You can also seek to get a property settlement, if you have both acquired assets together during the marriage.
