Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My grandfather passed away in 2000, I was told by my father that he left me a sum of money in one of his account. I am now able to claim the money but my father will not tell me where the money is. Can I take him to court. I dont have any evidence except for what he told me.
