Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago
My parents have been separated since I was a few months old and subsequently were legally divorced. I have lived in Canada with my mother for the past 23 years with no contact with my father. My father lived in Trinidad and recently passed away, I am not sure if he had a will. His siblings are currently in control of his estate and are not sharing any information with me, even though I went to his funeral and am his next of kin. I was wondering what is the process for me to find out what I am entitled to and to claim his estate.

You or your attorney can write to the persons in control of the estate with your claims and concerns.
