Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

What is my son entitled to financially when his father dies? We were never married, our son is his only child. He is presently married to someone and is terminally ill and from what I have been told by his relatives his wife is ensuring that everything goes in her name. What can I do to ensure that my son gets what is due to him? There are no children from his marriage or any other relationship.

Your son's father can leave his property to whomever he chooses. He does not have to leave anything to his son.
