Legal Question in Banking Law in Turkey
I wanted to ask you a question about banking . My friend just got in a bad situation with her credit card debt and couldn't pay it for 3 months (6000tl) and the bank started legal action. She went to make installments with the bank to settle it. The lady at the bank told her that she wouldn't be able to get a new credit card or loan for the next four years. My question is will she also lose access to the other credit cards she has with other banks if they are in good standing? She only had an issue with one of the banks but her other credit cards are all ok. She's freaking out but I have no idea what to tell her. Do you have any idea? Will she lose the right to have any credit card in Turkey? Yapi Kredi said that the other banks may cancel her credit cards.

There is a common credit cart administration authority in Turkey. If Yapi Kredi Bank report the case to this authority, this auhority may inform other banks. However, the amount you mentioned is very low, we do not expect such an action.
