moral turpitude?

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to ask a question about moral turpitude

I was arrested for Threatening

in Canada in April 2001.

I was sentenced to one day on both counts and 18 months probation.I am planning to apply to Immigrant visa at Us Embassy. Would you please tell me ''Threatening'' is a crime involving moral turpitude?

I am Turgay Sariakcali, a lawyer from Turkey.

I do not know much about US legislation for getting visa. But criminal law is universal and I am sure that threatening is not a crime involving moral turpitude.
